Project's Summary:
The BlossomingCities project addressed the decline of pollinator populations by developing an innovative VET training model to equip urban actors with the knowledge and tools to create pollinator-friendly environments.
Key outputs included a State-of-the-Art Report on wild pollinator conservation, a piloted training course for city actors, gamified interactive modules, and an e-learning portal that expanded access and collaboration across Europe. Through training activities, including a 5-day session in Latvia, the project built a network of multipliers and empowered stakeholders to integrate nature-based solutions into urban planning.
Overall, BlossomingCities strengthened awareness, skills, and cooperation to support pollinator conservation and urban biodiversity at local, national, and European levels.
