Project's Summary:

The FARM2LA project is focused on strengthening vocational education and training (VET) in agriculture by building bridges between institutions in the European Union and Latin America.

As more individuals across both regions move from cities to rural areas to reconnect with farming and environmental entrepreneurship, FARM2LA aims to support this shift by equipping VET trainers and students with the green, digital, and professional skills needed for success in the modern agricultural sector.

The project is especially targeted at improving VET education in Argentina, Paraguay, Mexico, and Chile, ensuring that trainers in these countries have access to forward-looking, high-quality training programs.

The project includes several key activities. First, a detailed research report will be developed to assess the current state of VET education in the four Latin American countries. Based on this research, partners worked together in organized FarmLabs to design an educational curriculum and training content that meet the sector’s evolving needs. FARM2LA will also launch an interactive online MOOC platform and digital learning tools to support flexible, remote education.

Two international learning activities were planned to enhance collaboration and knowledge exchange. In addition, the creation of FARM2LA FarmNet will provide a lasting network to support the ongoing training of VET trainers and students, with a strong focus on sustainable agriculture and rural development. Through these efforts, the FARM2LA project is helping to modernize VET education, promote rural entrepreneurship, and foster cooperation between Europe and Latin America. It supports the development of a new generation of skilled farmers and agri-entrepreneurs ready to face global challenges with innovative and sustainable solutions.
